After a few incidents of fate and circumstance, Fairweather opened its doors in May 2017. We made our home in a revitalized warehouse in west Hamilton’s Ainslie Wood neighbourhood.
In addition to a taproom and bottle shop, we have a 60 seat patio, and a 10,000 square foot production facility which doubles as an event space.
We are committed to the creative spirit and tradition in brewing. Neither for their own sake, but for the undeniable truth that there is greatness within both approaches. Fairweather beers are brewed to honour the relationships and experiences that bring us all together. They should be swirled, wafted, clanged together, sipped, shared, gazed at, spoken loudly over, savoured, spilled, and taken everywhere.
Whether we’re exploring bright hoppy IPAs, rich, silky stouts and porters, elegant, classic continental lagers, or fruited and oak-aged beers that explore the edges of what beer can be, Fairweather will never be satisfied. We will tirelessly strive to create the best beer you will find anywhere. Period. As we explore that path, we intend to be open, to grow, change, make mistakes, spend money frivolously, and have great successes. While we know we can’t please 100% of people 100% of the time, if you are even a little bit interested in flavourful, thoughtful experiences with people who love to love what they’re doing, we’re going to have a lot of fun together.
After all, this is for you.
